I had the same thought. I'm distressed you let an animal languish like that. Putting the mouse in a steel cage I can see, with food and water but stuck piss scared and hurting on a sticky pad, that is cruel, don't ever do that again. Rob is right too, a snake could get stuck. The mouse could chew him while he pulls his own skin off.

Yea mouse on sticky pad was really dumb.. poor mouse. I think it wouldnt be much less affective if you had just left a thawed out mouse ..

Re: I found bob the ball pyhton

Before we jump all over this guy, let's pause to consider the fact that never did he say that the mouse was deliberately left there for the snake to find. In fact, one of his posts on the other thread insinuates that he has a mouse problem preexisting within his household; it sounds to me more like a mouse got caught and he hadn't found it before he went down to check the traps when he found his snake.

Could he have selected more humane traps? Probably. But it's important to realize that he probably didn't stick this mouse to the trap in order to lure his snake out of hiding. He expressed surprise, in fact, that the snake made it down to the basement. For all we know, he could have removed his mousetraps from the rest of the house for safety's sake. Not havin' a go at anyone, just reminding us that we only KNOW what we're told.

Completely agree with you I also read the other thread and recall him saying he had a mouse problem

Re: I found bob the ball pyhton

Wow I'm glad people actually read that I've caught 12 wild mice not deliberate and if the snake got stuck I know an organic solution to neutralize the glue!!!!!! I may not be a pro at hunting down snakes in 1ft tunnels I can't see in, but I'm not an idiot. Get off the pedestal please, and thank you to the people who actually helped me and had my back.

Re: I found bob the ball pyhton

And to add, these mice chew my wiring so my house could burn down; and that means 3 ball pythons, 3 pitbulls, 2 cats, 3 humans, and 15 fish could die because of a mouse. So ask yourselves what's worse: a sticky trap or a fire trap?
