Before we jump all over this guy, let's pause to consider the fact that never did he say that the mouse was deliberately left there for the snake to find. In fact, one of his posts on the other thread insinuates that he has a mouse problem preexisting within his household; it sounds to me more like a mouse got caught and he hadn't found it before he went down to check the traps when he found his snake.

Could he have selected more humane traps? Probably. But it's important to realize that he probably didn't stick this mouse to the trap in order to lure his snake out of hiding. He expressed surprise, in fact, that the snake made it down to the basement. For all we know, he could have removed his mousetraps from the rest of the house for safety's sake. Not havin' a go at anyone, just reminding us that we only KNOW what we're told.

Completely agree with you I also read the other thread and recall him saying he had a mouse problem
