Re: please help me identify this snake
Where are you located? That might be of help
The snake seems to be going into shed, I'd release it back into the wild.

What makes you say that?
Looks like a wolf snake.

okay maybe I am mistaken then. To me with the blurry picture it seemed as though the snake was done shedding it's head and had the skin peeled back.
Just did a google search of wolf snakes, and they seem to have that white ring around their neck.

Kinda looks like Natrix natrix can't be sure though the pic is blurry. Where was the snake found?

Though they do have that white mark on their head, the body pattern and head shape are way off. I'm sticking with wolf snake. But it would help to tell us where he got it.

Re: please help me identify this snake
His flag says Philippines. I'm not sure if wolf snakes are found out there(I think they are).

Re: please help me identify this snake
Drumcrush, compare the head shape and look at the white part on the op's snake. It looks more like shed like Mikoh said. The white part on the first snake you posted is more solid.

Re: please help me identify this snake
After looking at Google image I would say poison123 was right on the money. Natrix natrix have a rounder head. The snake in question has a tapered, narrow head. For whatever reason my iPad won't display the op's flag. The Phillipines factor takes out the possibility of European grass snake!Lol. Nice call poison!

Re: please help me identify this snake
It looks more like my second pic. Look at the neck, it's got that same "shed look" to it. But I see what you guys are saying
