Ive never posted before so i thought id say hey.

Right. As someone who is basically a newb myself I can't help but speak up a bit - and I hope I don't get trampled on for it.
The argueing between memebers seems rediculous. How is anyone supposed to come here and learn when two memebers are going at each other rather than focus on the issue at hand.... Give this guy some advice rather than scareing him off- or else you'll have a hot owner who won't be here reading about other peoples expeirences or be able to learn anything from you. Clearly he has no plans to get rid of his pets, so wouldn't it be better to keep him around so he can learn some more instead of making it seem like we all care more about grammar and personal stabs than helping other snake owners. It would be lovely if every topic could be sugar coated, but clearly with something like hot owning, sugar coating will just make the person feel they've made no error. I mean, come on, even Wayne didn't step on this one cause clearly the guy needs to here it. But he doesn't need to hear any of us go at each other. ;/

you have no idea of my education or how it came about.i'm fairly sure members on here read my posts for carpet python information which is always good information.so i fail to see why a few spelling mistakes or bad punctuation would make my information or me look bad

YES i did use the word BEST so for your benifit replace the word best with the words most productive and you should be nice and happy

i totally agree with you here, the bickering has got to stop for others to get the advice they require to 1 day save there lives. How is argueing gunna help anyone apart from point scoring, this is by no means a competition. so lets not act like it is.

being a carpet enthusiast it would wrong of me to give out advice on other species.if i have not had hands on experience then i leave it to someone who has.

you say someone who admits to only knowing about carpets as if its a bad thing,thats your opinion to which you are entitled to mate.but morelia and their genetics ifs a fascinating subject and i see nothing wrong with specializing in one species.

Again i am open to any information you have regarding the ownership of hots, simply because you have more experience then i do. I read somewhere you had 10+ years. Now if you want to continue to assume i shouldn't own any then be my guest but keep it to yourself, and try not to loose any sleep over it. Also take into consideration i am going to school to work with these animals (both venomous and non venomous) so i am going to gain experience along the way. It is a dangerous profession but so is being a soldier in the United States Army, but im sure you wouldn't go as far to say that they should stop what there doing simply because its dangerous. I apologize for using profanity directed towards you, but none of your posts will change my mind on my ownership of dangerous animals.

Ill speak on behalf of mine, he is always aware watching everything that goes on around him, its hard for me to see him lower his awareness and pretend to be dead. Ive never seen him do anything like that but that doesn't go to say he cant. I dont think its true either but im not really sure, i know in the wild the result to biting alot faster than other native snakes due to there lack of speed and threat displays. Kind of hard to visualize one give up all self defense and play dead ya know? I didnt know hognoses played dead, thats pretty cool.
