Little dude getting bigger.

Update on my pal, he is getting bigger and is getting use to me. Back rubs and I am able to pick him up while he is slamming night crawlers
Pics are after a quick shower.

Looks about right to me. Say the tub is two feet wide, I'd say it looks about three feet lomg.

No...... Absolutely no one else apart from you yourself thinks that monitor is female, Miss Aja Michelle.

We could be wrong though, she might well be...

I think it looks female. It's strange.... I can sense it.

Re: Little dude getting bigger.

If I had to guess I would say female, but there's really only one way to know for sure..

Re: Little dude getting bigger.

Its a male, you can see bulges under the base of the tail.

Re: Little dude getting bigger.

Tail base bulges are not sufficient for sexing because females can display obvious bulges too due to muscular copulatory organs, and everything else about this sav looks female including head shape, tail to body proportions, and the gracile elongation of appendages. It's not robust and beefy like males.

I've mentioned this because I know this sav previously had very little substrate, and females require deep substrate for nesting.
