Just rockin little snakes here....I couldn't have asked for better looking babies.

Re: 1st BHP clutch hatches

Congrats, Derek!! Super gorgeous. What do you do in regards to cutting? Wait 'til half have pipped, then cut? Wait 'til one has, then cut? Or just cut them open further once they've pipped? Sorry.. I'm just curious as everyone does it differently. Those guys are stunning. The black heads are just so gorgeous. Good job! I'm so impressed with you. Lol.

Re: 1st BHP clutch hatches

Damn, why do you have to rub my face in with these pictures??? Nice looking babies! I'd buy one but I don't have the money. Wanna trade? I got some furniture I'm trying to get rid of. Kidding.

God...don't be impressed. haha. Over half my success with this species is luck.
As far as cutting...it depends on each clutch. Its a feeling I get more than anything.
Sometimes One will pip and I'll cut em, sometimes I pip em because I'm impatient...some I haven't pipped at all.
I just have to see how the eggs look and feel, how much weight they've lost, how much moisture is in the egg box....to many variables to give a concrete answer for.

Just happy these made it.

Cheers,
D

Re: 1st BHP clutch hatches

Here are the first 3 out...

This female looks like she's going to be nice and yellow already.

Nice bold bands on this one....look at the crazy pattern on the neck area. Pretty cool. The bands along the back end are near perfect!

Another nicely even banded animal...

Woo Hoo
