Cham Sick!

Hello, I own a chameleon
I had him for about 6 months, he spends most of his time outside, half of his cage has sun and half its got shade.
My chameleon is very sick, I notice something on the side of his lip, at first I thought that it was blood, but now am positive is a sore, he keeps opening his mouth, and i keep drooping water in it. Help please!!
I live in a small island, and no Rep vets here!!

Re: Cham Sick!

what kind of chameleon is it? How does he look otherwise; are his eyes sunken in, ribs prominent, etc? How is his eating/what are you feeding him? Can you describe the injury a bit more? And is HE acting sick, or just have this one injury?
Some more descriptions of the cage could help, as well as pictures (you can post pics after 5 posts on this forum).
I would make sure he has plenty of water/high humidity for the time being (spray his enclosure a few times a day) and offer some softer foods if possible (wax worms etc) until we can get a better idea of his wound.
As long as he continues to eat and drink he has a better chance of getting over this.
