What do I doooooooooo???
I went to our new house today just to walk around, since I haven't done much exploring. Anyways, there is a huge attic, huge basement with 2 rooms (both are perfect for reptiles), the green house that needs replaced glass, and I found another 'secret room' that is like 15 x 15 and 5 feet high with one entrance. All it needs is dirt and lights and you can throw a few monitors in there....my dad said all 3 of these rooms aren't going to be used except a bit of storage in the basement. Its sooooooooooooooo tempting -_-
In other news, I bought a macbook today after much deliberation. Not a mac guy, but I am a resell / get some of my money back type which is why I didn't buy a vaio or acer that loses its value completely in 6 months.

Re: What do I doooooooooo???
Claim one room as your own. Its good to have two rooms to yourself, your bedroom and then another for other things. I use the sunroom in my house for my monitors cage and for working on art/crafts (I work on a ton of things at once). My brother has half the basement for his computer (he has 3 monitors, surround sound, one monitor is a 46 inch flatscreen tv its awesome) Having an extra room is great to keep ones room from getting cluttered with everything, plus decorating is fun.

All three of those rooms can be mine if I want them, the attic, the whole basement, that random dungeon side room, and the green house. He doesn't have any use for them. And there is 3 empty bedrooms after everyone chooses one ....

Re: What do I doooooooooo???
Not sure what to say about the extra room, except that I wish I had some (kids tend to get in the way of extra room )
But I can tell you for certain, once you go Mac, you never go back....

Re: What do I doooooooooo???
Well the good news, is that there is only one master bedroom with a seperate entrance and bathroom/ everything (basically in-law apartment) and he already claimed it as his room. None of the others are to my likings, but the amount of space for reptiles is hard to resist.
And yes, the mac is pretty sweet I must admit. Got the 256 flash on the retina display model and its very, very, very fast.

I hope that's a joke... For a room that size, expect to pay at least 2-3 grand to build it properly and set it up for varanids or retics.
I just designed a few 8x8x4 cages for the scrub, retics, and green tree monitors I plan to get, each cage will run me 1200$+

It wasnt a joke no, but it wasnt entirely serious (not that simple). Its not really a room like your picturing. I think some plywood to make a box and the electric is most of the work.

I am planning a room of that size as a monitor enclosure and current pricing is approx £20k+

My 2-3k estimate if its it's done cheaply with only 1 layer of plywood, does not include heating, wiring, insulation, soil, plumbing, anything. Heating a huge enclosure is costly as hell
