My red sea captures

Octopus caught in a beer bottle.
Clown caught by dropping a net over an anemone
and some weird jelly fish thing.

I let all of them go, the clown was only out of the water for the pic because it wouldn't show in the bottle.

It was like 120 degrees and I had been out all morning since 5 am, hence the towel on my neck and covering my forearms, I was burnt to a crisp.

Oh and yes, I'm wearing blue checkered capris and red crocs, I ran out of clothes and stepped on a sea urchin the day before. (the crocs didn't help, I stepped on another one that day as well, and went through the croc like butter, they were EVERYWHERE)

Nope, was pretty stupid of me to grab it though. It didn't seem like a jelly fish honestly, it didn't have long tentacles. And I grabbed it from the top part initially opposite of the tentacles. It didn't really have any tentacles now that I think of it, those things were kind of like short stubby fingers, and it swam with the fingers pointed up. Sat on the bottom of the ocean, with the flat jelly part on the sand.

Arabs don't mess around with wild life, so when I emerged from the water holding a beer bottle with crazy tentacles all over the place, the whole beach freaked and took pics lol

The amount of things I saw down there was pretty impressive, I saw a really really large eel, swam right up to it, big fang looking things and open mouth, but wasn't aggressive or flighty either. Made me want a saltwater tank.

Me too , half egyptian. Im guessing your moroccan or algerian if you speak french right? I meant arabs in arab countries. Every snake to them is a cobra, and every reptile is dangerous and venomous lol

Re: My red sea captures

I had about 150+ urchin spines in my lower back. The ER doc had a trick to remove em, he gave me a deep tissue massage (OWWWW!) for about 20 mins, then let my back dry up which let my body reject the tiny broken up pieces of spines I my back, it was gross for a few days but cleared up in less then a week. Ws bruised for just under 2 months, and it still today 3 years later, major damage

But yea, break up the spines (they are brittle) and your body will just excrete them out.

Second worst pain I've ever felt

Re: My red sea captures

Hate urchins; nasty creatures and they are such pests. Sort of like the pigeons of the ocean.

Octopus are such incredible creatures though. Its so weird trying to catch one in the water as there is just nothing to them. The only bit that has any form is the beak, everything else just slides through your fingers like jelly. I caught a pretty good sized one in the Med when I was diving and I literally couldnt keep a hold of it.
