Helpers put up with a lot of crap...

So I just got home from a party, took a few friends home with me to sit in my sauna then wrestle for a while... We walk into the house and get punched in the face by a smell any Herper knows...

My retic took a crap bigger then my head, then pissed, then tipped her 36qt water bowl that was FULL, then shed in the mess and somehow ended up in feed response when I opened the cage... We were only gone for 2-3 hours and I checked the cage before I left...

Not many hobbies have you dealing with smells like that, and cleaning that much feces.... Sigh... Somehow I still love my snakes... Lol

Hahahaha. Well I can relate to some degree. My beardies have also stunk my place up. They are on tile so it sticks 10 times worse than on something that absorbs it a bit. I have brought people into my snake room to "show off" my snakes only to some giant turd looking back. Figured eh!! Craps 6-7 times a year and always knows to do it at the wrong time. But yeah I love mine too

That's why I cannot do larger animals, beardie poo after collards, greens and the like, ends up being a gag fest which my wife enjoys. Monitor poo I can tolerate a little better because its in the water.

That's funny. My brother came to visit 2 weeks ago and 4 of my snakes took a dump and wee an hour after they arrived so I spent the next hour cleaning all the enclosures, the smell was horrendous my sister in law was sick lol. just glad they didn't tip the water bowls like yours. It's funny how much of a mess they can make, you just have to love them.

Re: Helpers put up with a lot of crap...

I think every snake I own has pooped in the bath. The warm water relaxes them, and that's all she wrote! Fortunately it's easy enough to clean up the tub and snake afterwards.
