First expo and pick ups
So I went to my first expo today and had a blast. Picked up a Brazilian rainbow boa for 175$ and a leucistic texas rat snake for 75$. I thought these were great prices. Awesome snakes

In canada reptiles are expensive, not that its a bad thing. You should drive down to the new hampsire show or new york, the difference you save in purchases will cover gas (if you purchase alot and aren't far off the US border) and you get a nice road trip out of it.
Congratz on the snakes, BRBs are one of the best looking snakes.

Unless he's buying a truckload of snakes, I doubt it will covered the price of CITES and the border inspection, and customs... *snickers*
Those combined come close to 1000$ not including customs, the inspection also needs to be booked ahead of time and you need to declair e animals you intend to purchase in advance.
I'd be careful advising someone in a subject you know little about
Nice pickups! I miss my BRB

Re: First expo and pick ups
Sweet! How did you like the experience of your first expo? They can be a little chaotic/busy sometimes. Congrats on your new pick ups; They look great!
