Corn breeders

Does anyone have any experience with VMS Herps For Sale - Cornsnakes? I've looked at their site and BHB Reptiles as a prospective source for a corn snake. I work weekends so there's no way I can get to a show to buy a snake there. I don't know whether to get one now or wait until the new crop comes out. From reading here it seems the consensus is to avoid a hatchling and go with something a little older. VMS has 8 month-old hypo bloodreds which are pretty cool. BHB has some left but also with limited variability given the time of year. Any suggestions?
