Ok i have already used up all the top soil and,washed play sand i had purchased! But it only covers three quarters of the way that I need to be at,so i would like to know what type of soil,I can use that would break down it's feces & is not harmful for my Varanus? Thanks!!

hmm I used playsand and topsoil in my savs cage, and it lasted a realy long time, with the heat and humidity in my cage, it seemed to break it down rather fast, and I did spot cleans as well, but the cage never smelled, I had about 8" thick base if that helps at all.

Cant you just go buy some more? As Wayne said, the best stuff is from outside, so if you can get that then go for it.
