Mandarin rat .. Mandarin corn?
So I really love the beauty of the mandarin rat snake. Is their a corn that resembles that, or actually bred with a mandarin? Just wandering because in a few years I'd love to mate my anery with a mandarin.

Re: Mandarin rat .. Mandarin corn?
As die-hard as most Asian ratsnake hobbyists are against hybrids, I'm not surprised no one's tried it yet. At the same time, I'm equally surprised no one HAS tried it yet anyway, as crazy and nonchalant as some are about the matter.
Its debatable whether the two species would even cross at all; i.e. if the pairing would produce any offspring.

Re: Mandarin rat .. Mandarin corn?
There is actually a corn morph called a Mandarin, it doesn't look like a Mandarin ratsnake though, but as far as I know, no one has tried that particular hybrid cross. I'd be fairly surprised if it did produce viable offspring but there are weirder crosses out there, so who knows.

Re: Mandarin rat .. Mandarin corn?
I am totally in love with the mandarin because of the coloration! They tend to be a little bit more stubborn than a corn so it would be cool if there was a corn that looked like it. However I am also not a huge fan of hybrids. Some hybrids do have health issues.

I'm curious too, I've never heard of hybrid snakes with issues.
