He looks nice & healthy! Maybe one of these days we'll see the female, too.

does your monitor actually like being handled as he just looks stressed to me as he quickly retreated, just curious

That's how most monitors behave. They let you know when they've had enough, and after that you leave them be.

Re: chillen on the tree branch

no he doesnt like being handled lol thats not "stress" thats just him getting pissed, also, female just chills in teh back, i posted a vid a while back of them running around the cage. they do different things everyday, i just decided to go in for a feel that day. some morning they fling around the cage violently (they are just jumping from the branches onto the box)
http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/varan...y-do-best.html
this is just what monitors do if they are healthy, monitors shouldnt lie around all day like you see in pet stores or in 90% of youtube videos

ill grab another vid of savanah to, its usually a tug of war with the one as it grabs the tongs almost everytime and tries to pull me in, i have one from that same day as the quince video but i swore to much in the video as it became a tug of ware as usual

Re: chillen on the tree branch

thing is that as an animal has its own mind, it has to be stressed for it to be pissed, so the fact that it can be pissed without being stressed is a void comment and makes no sence what so ever

Re: chillen on the tree branch

I'll see if I can say it a bit better. It was giving him a warning to watch his step, but as it was not yet retreating, the warning was ignored. It had the option to retreat at any time it wanted.
