Why? I cant think of a reason except stuck shed and if this is the problem then your humidity is too low in the viv.

Can you? Yes

Although you shouldn't have to. Instead of soaking I would just give a heavy misting to the snake.

What type of sub straight do you have? what does your set up look like?

When my GTP is going into shed I will often just dump a few cups of water into the bedding.

I think it would depend on the reason you needed to soak it. But traditionally I would agree with the above replies

I won't assume your husbandry is bad or that you have a stuck shed because I'm not psychic or pretentious

Re: is it okay to soak my gtp?

You can soak them if they are in need of rehydration or need some help shedding, otherwise spraying will be good enough.
I find a better way than soaking to achieve this, is to get a really useful box tub, put a perch in mid way, and fill the bottom with warm water, then put this into a warm viv over night, this then steams up nicely, the snake doesn't have to sit in the water as will use the perch, but it will be just as successful at helping get any shed off or rehydrating, but if your gtp is having no issues, then i wouldn't worry about it.

Providing he is kept in the correct husbandry there is never a need to soak a snake, just leave him be to do what nature does best

Ah in that case no point soaking no, just keep him well sprayed and the humidity up and he will shed fine on his own.
