Baby Atheris Squamigera
Hey guys, I woke up Sunday to find 12 new baby Atheris Squamigera in my enclosure. I had no idea my female was pregnant and wasn't expecting the clutch. Got them feeding on minnows and they are all doing great. figured I would post some pics and videos. Let me know what you think. PS, I am looking to trade for other Atheris.

Very nice surprise to wake up to! I wish I could take one off your hands but the laws here in Cali say no.

Congratulations! They are so cute....best of luck with them. I am actually looking for a male squamigera, but I don't have anything to trade.

Pretty much we can only keep native hots. It is possible to get permits to keep others but only for educational purposes. If you just want to keep them as pets, they'll just say no.

Invanator email me. My email is kaouthiakeeper@gmail.com. We have the same BS laws here in NY. In order to get a permit it has to be for "educational purposes." You can't just be a private collector. However, I got my permit for "educational purposes" and this enables me to keep a private collection as long as I do a few educational seminars a year which they don't even follow up on. You follow what I am saying ? They just want to know where the snakes are and they want to make sure that you understand that you can't just play around with them like they are normal pets. That's about it, and BTW, I have a friemd at the dec and that came straight from the horses mouth.
