Heating question for bcc need input!!

Hi everyone. So I posted on here before about my baby suriname Athena. She has been doing great. 28 inches 150 grams feebly weekly on rat pups. Anyway I have noticed that since in pa were in our coldest months and I noticed that day time temps drop in high 70s cool side and low. 70s at night. She always has a hot spot Uth in the 90s. I heat the whole closet the cage is in with a 1500 watt space heater. I was also wondering if Anyone knows how muh is costs in electric to run tht all the time. Anyway usually that brings the ambient to low 80s. My main question is it on for them drops at night or to hve have ambient temps in 70s for the cooler months as long as she has the hot spot? Thanks a lot
Mike. Also I have had he over a month and a few feelings and no shed how often does a snake of her size shed? And how can I tell? I've only had retic and Burma in the past. Thanks in advance
Mike

Re: Heating question for bcc need input!!

ambient should always be in the 80s..bcc are especially fragile. You need to be a temp Nazi for them. The only time temps drop close to that low and Im talking 75-80 is for breeding season night temps when people are cycling bci. From what Ive heard bcc are more complicated in keeping I would not risk getting ri with temps so low..
