new pick up fairly soon......

So i am looking at making a new pick up fairly soon. I really like the orange on the sunglows but i do not like the price tag just yet. I found a few motleys and one anery i really like and am undicided.

I want a male bci, but if i have to i will pick up a female. i just dont know how big a female bci can really get..... I found three motley het t+ i like but all three are female. two are amost paternless and one has a very nice pattern on it but they are 2011 babies so they are fairly decent size already. i like the idea of a juvi.

The next one i found is a male anery 100% het snow. I have not contacted the breeder on this one yet about more pictures but plan on doing so soon.

here are some pictures. let me know what one you would pick. I know what one i am favoring just want to hear your oppinions.

female 1 motley

female 2 motley

female 3 motley

and male 1 anery

I like the first female or that male.. Nothing really grabs me about female 2 or 3.

I like the long stripes on female 3; That would be my personal pick.

If you don't plan on breeding don't bother with hets.

If you might breed get a female so you can get a head start. Personally I think the anery het albino is a better option because the anery is a visual recessive while the motley is a co-dominant morph. Eventually motleys will only be worth around $150 like the hypos.

Re: new pick up fairly soon......

I had a female bci that was 7.5'. They can hit eight feet but that really is a big girl. Five to six is about average for a male.

Unfortunately no. A snow is a visual double recessive. Both parents had to have the albino gene and the anery gene either visually or as a het.

So that male is a visual anery hey albino. You need to breed it to either a double het snow, anery het albino, an albino het anery or a snow to get snows.

If you breed it to a sunglow you will get hypos het albino and anery ( triple het moonglows) dh snows, albino het anery ( het snow), and sunglows het anery ( het moonglow).

If you breed it with a normal you will get 100% het anery that are also 50% possible het albino.
