GI Jane Continues to Grow
Last I mentioned in GI Jane's intro thread, she has grown from 6 1/2' and 6 lbs in May of last year to 8' and 8 lbs. late last Summer. This growth continues. As of last night, she is now 9' and 10 lbs. The fact remains that she is still young, being an '08. Who knows how big she's actually going to get? Time will tell I guess.

Re: GI Jane Continues to Grow
Pics will come tonight. I forgot this is a growing forum. Jane is a yellow Macklot's Python. Her pattern and color remind me of desert camo.

Re: GI Jane Continues to Grow
Ok for those of you who have not seen GI Jane yet, she is my yellow Macklot's Python. She's one of a kind and I do plan on breeding her next year to see if I can prove this trait out. One thing that really strikes me about her in addition to her color is her size. When I first got her last May. she was 6 1/2' long and the first 4 pics were taken about that time. The last pic was taken late last summer/early fall on the deck in the back yard. At that time she had grown to 8' and now, she is 9' long. She is cbb 2008 so she's still quite young with a lot of growing yet to do.

Re: GI Jane Continues to Grow
Any newbies to snakes should note that snakes should NOT be placed around the neck - first couple of pages of this thread http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/gener...ound-neck.html will explain why

Re: GI Jane Continues to Grow
Thanks. As soon as I can, I will take updated shots of her. Also as soon as the weather warms up, I will take her outside for photo ops as well.

Wiz she looks great. She's getting some real good size to her too. I can't wait to see what she produces and see if she is genetic.

Loving how yellow she is; Beautiful Macklot's Python
I don't know much about them but how long until they reach their "maturity" for growing? (At least until it slows down drastically) Also, what colour are her eyes? They seem quite light in the photos.

Most ppl say 6-7' including Bladeblaster but Jane has blown those limitations to bits. I really do see her getting over 10' before she begins to slow down her growth. Also Vanessa and Merlin, my '09 Macks are at or past their max sizes as well. We shall see.
