Hi all,
I'm a budding snake enthusiast (love all reptiles, but love those without legs the most!) and thus took the plunge in August of this year and brought home a male pastel ball python.
Did I mention I was spooked by snakes? Truly, I was afraid to handle them, so I did a bit of exposure/immersion therapy and brought my boy home. His name is Ihysius and I must say he was a pretty poor preparation for getting tagged/grumpy snakes....he doesn't even ball up. But absolutely an awesome guy to get over being skittish about snakes
Not head shy and I can do juuust about anything to him without so much as a wince or a hiss. He's juuust under four feet (not bad since he was about 2-2.5 when I brought him home---he grew quickly offered adequate food---stupid people underfeeding him). He turned two in January and is about 900 g (hard to weigh him accurately) but hasn't eaten since November---being thats its winter and plus he's too busy looking for ladies lol.
