You suck for not backing it up. Go buy everything right now. It'll live, out of the enclosure for another hour.

Don't post here. Go buy stuff. Stop being a fail keeper.

Make sure you have a thermostat this time so if anything fails it should cut out before melting the tub.

I'm not saying this isn't true, but this is what makes people leave.

I would house it in a tub in a fairly warm room of the house and go out and buy new stuff ASAP.

I'd have to agree. People make mistakes. Mind you, what Aaron said is true, it's best to back everything up. But there are nicer ways to say it - specially if the member is new and not expecting to be torn a new b***hole just for asking a question.

Remember everyone was new at one time.

Bottom line is I hope the OP fixed the situation.

Meh. I said what's right. No need for sugar. It's the real world buddy. It isn't nice to everyone.

Besides, there's like 548905348 people signing up weekly. There's enough to go around.

When you can pass on your own experience, you can chime in for once. I doubt you will because you buy and sell your animals weekly.

Do not put they together because they could try to show aggression. Make sure you put it in a container in a warm room! Go buy your stuff ASAP! Like others said you need a thermostat to regulate temp and will not over heat and burnout. Just DO NOT put together!!!! Best of luck!

I understand you're very knowledgeable but that doesn't give you the right to treat others like they're a piece of crap. Even with twelve thousand posts you don't run this site. Wayne has requested that newer members are to be treated nicer and if you value the ability to come to this website daily you should listen to him. Morals and ethics have nothing to do with animals.

All righty now fellars. Time to stop the bitch fest before it starts. Aaron is 100% right but seeing as uts too late to prevent it lets move on. Put the snake in a tub with holes and place the tub inside your other snakes enclosure. Then do not wait until the weekend. Go get new stuff now. You should always have a back up plan for when something goes wrong. If you are short on cash borrow it. Next time keep a stash or credit card you can put a sudden vet bill or supply bill on.
Good luck. Learn from this and please post pics of the melted tub for all without thermostats to see.

No, don't put them together. There are tons of pics of snakes eating each other when housed together, just surf the web for them. Also, you should ALWAYS have back up money for your reptiles if something goes wrong.

I'm not a snake keeper, but I have lots of other reptiles, and this sounds like very good advice. It is what I would do if something like this were to happen to me.

(but, of course, I have the 'uh-oh credit card' for stuff like that, and try to buy replacement parts whenever I have extra money just to have around the house!)

Try and remain calm, think about what is best for the animal right now, and DO NOT let the snakes have access to each other, lest one become food! Try the box with holes, and watch the situation like a hawk until you can get the new supplies.

I'm genuinely confused here. The heat melted the tub...and then went out? And this was several days ago? Where's it been for the past several days if its tub is melted? And how do you not know how long ago any of this happened? You said you "had no time" to go buy a new setup, so you can't have just discovered it this second. Maybe I'm just having a blond moment, but I don't get what happened.
