clicking sound?

does this ONLY happen with RI's, or could it be something else? he was fine last night, temps are normal, humidity normal, but the boyfriend said he thinks he may have gotten stuck earlier this morning, as he saw his body wiggling and he couldn't see the head...i dunno how he would have gotten stuck, but I'm not ruling it out...bumped heat and humidity just in case, i'm just feeling out other options

Re: clicking sound?

Stuck on what? In what?

If you "think" he got stuck on/in something you need to rule out the chances of that happening again.

Also how does being stuck have anything to do with an RI?

Re: clicking sound?

I put a mesh top so the tank was more secure until the monster is sealed, and it lifts up about 1/2 an inch in the middle (where it opens). I've moved the clamps so it can't do that anymore.

I was checking to see if it could be from getting his head stuck, or if it's the beginning of an RI. (no sleep in 24 hours. my apologies if i'm hard to comprehend..../)

Re: clicking sound?

I understand now.. I would just keep an eye on the clicking. As Dino said it could just be due to having a drink. I doubt getting his head stuck for a few minutes would cause the sounds.

Go get some sleep!

Re: clicking sound?

^^ This. Sometimes before or after sheds I can hear a sort of clicking noise. It's not with every breath...just every once in a while. It usually goes away within a couple of days.

When i first got Jerry Rice he had a stuck piece in his nose and whistled. I couldnt figure out where that noise was coming from until i stuck his face next to my ear. I ended up getting it out by a pair of tweezers just grabbing the outside skin and gently pulling it free. He took a deep breath in and exhaled like "that feels good man". I now always check nose holes just in case.
