Female crested

Hey guys...I'm looking for a female crested gecko that is ready to breed....I'm looking to buy for March...if anyone's got something or knows of anything, help is much appreciated...I'm in Ontario.

What you will need...is a miracle.

Seriously, the chances that you find a female of breeding age, especially during the breeding season, is next to none.

If you do find one however, expect to pay a pretty penny... :/

Hey Heather (am I allowed to call you that?), there's a guy, Grant Crossman... who owns Port Credit Pets.... he's really a distributor, not a breeder, but he buys from either local or US breeders. He usually gets a new order of them every few weeks. You could give him a shout at pcpcmail@rogers.com. I've been waiting to get some from him for over a month now, though, but it's hard for me because I live in PEI and I'll have to have them shipped... and he owns a store, which anyone can just walk in and buy what they see... but seeing as you live in Ontario, it shouldn't be hard -- that's where he's located.

Hey, if you do go in and get something from him, can you do me a favour and tell him I refered you??? Maybe he'll hurry up and let me buy some from him.

cool, I hope something works out!! He wrote me last night and told me that he's got a big shipment of them coming in on Tuesday... so maybe you'd like to go in on Wendesday and check them out. Yay, I'm so excited to be finally getting mine!! hehe

Yup I emailed him and he said it shouldn't be a problem and to email him closer to the purchase date...march

lol I can't get one until I can show a decent report card! :P Oh well it's no prob !

Oh well! Until then I can shop for it! Kate gets to come too!

hey Heather, umm... check out his website, I'm pretty sure he's got his pricing in there, but I guess it all depends.... see I'm getting a special deal from him because last time I wanted to buy from him, he never emailed me back so because of that, he's promising me a wicked deal on my next/first purchase from him... but... for everybody else, who sucks by the way.. just kidding, subadults generally are about $150 for him I think, and juvies cheaper. However, the adults are more expensive, also depending on the colour morph. www.portcreditpets.com and once you enter the site, click on "lizards" and there's a bunch of drop down lists, click on the obvious.. "geckos" and under there is a few prices for his cresteds. See if you can work out some kind of deal too... they may be kind of costly, but in the long run, it'll work out to be probably cheaper and to your advantage (because you can walk in and SEE them personally, which ones you want) to buy locally than to have some shipped from across Canada. I DID check out the website lol (are you mocking me?! LOL j/k) He's got something like 400 for a pair, 150 for an adult male and 120 for a regular crested.....when clicked upon, they say to call for info on that animal, which I most likely will have to do...250 is pretty much my limit though!

I suppose a sub adult is ok, but I assume they're sexable? lol I don't want a cougar playin' my Murdoch....:P , so it's good if they're close to the same age

Where in Ontario is he situated? Ottawa is pretty much the only place I can get to, and of course way out in 'hicky suburbia orleans and kanata'....:P kate. I am pretty much bus-bound...

Should I wait until closer to my purchase date? (around mid-march) or should I start planning waaaaay ahead?

Darn I g2g :P Physics exam tomorrow! Rrrrrrg.

Hahaha, no I'm not mocking you Heather... I just didn't want to give you a false price, but yeah, I know, that site is kind of frustrating seeing as it says to call or email for everything that you click on. Basically, with him, you may as well just wait until closer to your purchase date because he gets them in all the time. They sell pretty quick, which is why he gets more soon after. Umm, you could probably get a subadult the easiest from him... than an adult, but if you want one, you'd have to contact him a little before (maybe a few weeks) you want to buy one and make sure you know when his shipments will come in, so you can pick from what adults he may get. You probably won't have to pay more than $250, if it's a subadult, it'll probably be around $150-$175... if adult, probably between $200-$250. Umm, he's located in Mississagua I think... uhhh, don't quote me on that, but that word comes to mind, haha.
