She's a female, about six to eight months old.

They may or may not fade. I've seen some plumed basilisks without any spots at all in their adult life, and some with many.

I had a pair of browns, but the greens are my favorites. Are you going to get a male?

Lovely little lass. Will she too develop a "plume" or is that strictly a 'male' thing? (Seem to recall only males doing so but ...)
