it depends really, some are cheaper and some its better to go online. You'll just have to do your homework before you get there

I go to alot of show and good deals can be found. There are also overpriced animals and products because some vendors know most people are there for the main purpose of a purchase. You'll have to do some shopping around, but also strike while the iron is hot or the one you want likely gets sold if you wait too long. Good luck, I'm sure you'll find the right deal.

In terms of the "night drop", it is my opinion that if you aren't intending breeding then there is no need, none of my snakes get a night drop - tho their ambient may be slightly cooler due to the house generally being cooler overnight.

Re: price of stuff at shows.....
The show I was at yesterday wasn't bad. But I can't say that that applies to all shows, since that's the only one I'd been too. But I bought a lot of supplies without breaking the bank, which was nice, because I kind of expected to.

Oh, that'll be plenty. I bought a hide, a UVB fixture with a higher output light, 500 crickets, live moss, and a medium sized UTH and didn't even spend close to $100.

Re: price of stuff at shows.....
I also think it depends a lot on who's there. If there are a bunch of supply vendors at the same show, then it often becomes a very competitive environment for pricing, and some really good deals can be had. If 99% of folks are just selling animals and the supply vendors are in short supply, you can bet prices will be at a premium. As an example, I was able to pick up a high quality 17" x 11" UTH at the last show I went to for $15 - lotsa supply vendors on hand, and prices were VERY competitive.
In short, if you're patient, you'll find what you need at the price you want to pay. Good luck!
