Animal cruelty -burned basset hound

I'm terrible at thread politics sometimes, and i realized it may have seemed like i was taking over someone else's thread, so here's the lastest on the story i've been following on our local animal cruelty.

Buddy Arrest News Coverage - YouTube

The dog died two days after being burned alive. It was the family's son, 18 years old.

At the same time i saw this i saw the thread about the goats getting their throats slit.
Here: http://www.ssnakess.com/forums/membe...g-animals.html

I really just have no words for these people. There are so many sickos in the world.

I would just like every one of us, any of us, to make sure we are taking the best care possible of each of our animals. We may not be intentionally being cruel, but let's all provide the best care we can for these animals in our care.
There is too much intentional harm in this world.

Re: Animal cruelty -burned basset hound

The family waited until the next day to take the dog into the regular vet. They were not responsible enough to even take the dog, who'd been burned alive, to an emergency vet. Not only is that cheap, and torture for that dog, but shows they are unprepared to deal with the cost of an emergency for their pets.
They need to have their other dogs taken away.
They do not deserve the privilege of owning pets.

Andrew had priors...4 misdemeanor priors. The parents knew he was a criminal. They were more worried about how they looked because they raised their son poorly.
The family is at fault as well.

What if this had happened to a child?? Would they have covered it up for a day? Andrew is a seriel killer in the making.

There is a petition to sign to ask for him to get the maximum sentence, and there is also something in the works to get the remaining dogs taken away from the parents if he is released, and they are supposedly investigating on if the dogs currently still living there are safe.

Hey, Melissa, if you can fix it where I can share those posts you made on facebook, I'll share them! I have several friends who are animal activists looking to help animals and make public outcries against cruelty!

Re: Animal cruelty -burned basset hound

This is the post to the petition (i've been going around posting it and i thought i posted it here)

TAKE ACTION- We demand Andrew Delgado face jail over the killing of his family Basset Hound- Buddy | Justice for Mary | causes.com

It has links to videos, and other news stories on it. Most of them are annoying and make you sign up for them.
I went around to all of them except one that i can't seem to let me sign in, and posted the petition and info.
But, yes, feel free!
I want this POS to have the maximum penalty, and i'd also be pleased if that family had their remaining dogs taken away.
Some people don't seem to realize that owning animals is a privilege. They rely on us, trust us, and can't do anything without us since we OWN them. Just, decency.

Re: Animal cruelty -burned basset hound

i don't know snakeman. hubby and i have been offended, horrified, enraged and obsessed over this since we found out.
any dog would make me react this way, but looking into the trusting and loving face of my own basset hound i cried. i'm a tough bugger, too. but lately animal cruelty has just broken me down and seeing or knowing about any suffering just fills me with shock.
heck yeah it's dramatic. Burns HURT, i can't imagine the pain that animal went through. or maybe i can, and that's why i can't get over it.

if he was in front of me i wouldn't hesitate to douse him and set him on fire. i am not joking.

I just signed it and invited a bunch of my face book friends and family to sign it.

Thank you. You're always so sweet, chuck! : )

This has been a huge outrage in my county. The more the merrier.

I posted the link onto my Facebook page as well. It sickens me someone could do this to any animal, let alone their family pet.

Right platinumxero? Talk about a psychopath. Drug use or not (which it was probably pot, so what a cop out.) he's insane.

And thank you for reposting!

Re: Animal cruelty -burned basset hound

Update...his hearing was postponed until the 27th. $3,000 bail bond and he could be released...basset hound rescue of southern california has an example up now of a good letter to the humane society, as well as sending information, asking them to remove and protect the two remaining dogs if he posts bail and returns home. The petition is up to past 55 thousand!!! I only wish it had been worded differently asking for maximum felony sentance on counts of arson and animal cruelty. Seems the public attorney may try to get him off on only six years max because buddy was "his own property". Anyway...let's keep up the outrage. I really want to make a difference and you guys are helping so much! Let's Keys keep it up and keep passing it on!!
