My savannah monitor is often wet, and I've been wondering what exactly she's been doing in her pond. Well I caught the tail-end of her activities tonight!
She's intentionally swimming INTO the inlet from the sump/filter, basically swimming laps.
She's perfectly capable of climbing out, the current isn't strong throughout the pond, and she can stand in it with her head above water.
She'd been swimming like this for at least a minute before I thought to record her. ...then she noticed me and stopped.
