Cuz they were both sold to me as females?

Looks like it to me. Do you know if they probed or popped them? I've heard sometimes males can be very difficult and won't pop.

imo you definatly do NOT have 2 females there Roy
as far as i know you won't be able to tell who is who,by looking at them locked mate...
if your lucky enough to see them unlock,you may catch a glimpse of hemipenes (not a pretty site )

If provided perfect breeding conditions, males will lock with each other, and females will lock with each other. Time to pop or probe.

Indeed they will. I was at a reptile store and I was about to by a "breeding" pair. I asked him if I could probe them, he proceeded to tell me it was useless, because he had a picture on his cell of the pair locking. I the bought the pair of FEMALES.
Why did you have them together if you weren't breeding?

its not uncommon for Carpet keepers to house same sized females together mate
i assume Roy was doing the same

Yes mate, they're all adults. I have 0 experience probing and to do so, I'd pay a vet to come ($55. My other option is to bring both (or possibly just the "male" in question) to the All Animal Expo which is Saturday. Do I really want to disrupt them by bringing them out in 40° temps?
