Re: What is this???
NO!!!!!!
never just pull a tick off, if the pincers are left, they WILL cause infection. PM Mykee or just go to a vet.

Re: What is this???
How does a snake get a tick not being mean just curious. Did you take it outside? Or have a dog or cat cuddle with your snake?

Re: Hey
Use tweezers to remove the tick. Grasp the tick by its head, against the reptile's skin, instead of by its body. Ticks are difficult to kill by crushing or by drowning, submerge removed ticks in a jar of alcohol. Don't try to smother the tick with petroleum jelly or alcohol or burn it with matches, as this may encourage the tick to produce more disease-carrying saliva.
Michael.

I'm not sure. I have never taken him outside and I don't have any other pets. When I first got him he had a mite and I took him to the vet (he had a staph infection as well... was delivered to me like this from the breeder). I thought I had everything taken care of. I guess maybe that isn't the case.

Re: What is this???
To me that doesn't look like a tic but rather a blister...

Re: What is this???
I dunno....granted the animal isn't right in front of me, but I've never seen a blister even remotely closely resembling that, while I have seen many ticks that do.
