Mice to Rats

Last night I tried to convert one of my king snakes to eat baby rats instead of mice.. I have basically just upped the number of fuzzy mice I feed her each week as she has been growing. I figured since i paid for a bag of 100 f/t I would use them up and then move her onto rats. Well im completely out of fuzzy mice now and when i tried to feed her last night she had no interest in the rat. Is there a good way to get her to take the rats as well as she was taking the mice??

The best way to start is by scenting the rat with a mouse.

Dont feed her for a few weeks then offer it getting her good and hungry works

Ya, SWDK..... I thought about that once i was all out of the mice, so i don't have anymore f/t... I feed the last of them to her last week and didn't think about the scenting thing until she would not eat yesterday.

you could try waiting it out until the snakes hungry,then brain the rat

but the best way to cross them over.....

is to scent the rat,with heated mouse blood and guts smeared all over the rat
