Owning Restricted/Controlled Species in BC

OK a question here for some of the other British Columbians on the site..
I was perusing the list of banned/restricted species on the governments website and noticed that you can apply for a license to own one of these species.

According to the law you had to own it before March 2009, however there is a provision that you can still be granted a license if it is deemed a special circumstance.
There is quite the application to fill out, public safety plans, detailed housing and care plans, etc.

I was just wondering if anyone on here has, or knows of anyone that has, gone through this process for any of the species, whether successfully or not.

I don't have any plans to go through this process myself but it would be nice to know that in the future if I were to become serious about owning a restricted snake that it would be possible.

As long as you can prove that you are responsible and have taken all the precautionary measures to ensure yours and the publics safety I don't see any reason why such an application should be denied, but that being said it is not up to me to make that decision.
