what if you had...

since everyone seems to be having fun with their wish lists
i thought i would start a thread just for fun.
if you had your own galapagos type of island where evolution seems to speed up what would you put on it and why- my first thought was of snakes but you can use anything you want.

Re: what if you had...

Uhh I'd throw some platinum Retics in there with some nice IJ Granite Carpet Pythons, along with some Green Tree Pythons. Should be a cool mix...

Re: what if you had...

It's interesting you mention snakes. Most island localities of large constrictors are smaller than their mainland counterparts, not larger. I would imagine prey size has a lot to do with it. You see this with retics, and BCI.

I'm partial to tortoises myself, so there's already islands (the aforementioned Galapagos and the Seychelles Atoll, home of the aldabra tortoises) for individuals like myself. I just have to convince enough officials to let me live on said islands! Wit tortoises, I don't have to worry about a carnivorous reptile eating me in my sleep!
