i recommend yes and also to make sure they are large enough to hold more than one leo
i have one humid hide for each of my 2 females but sometimes they both cram into the same one

Me too. Geckos don't understand that whole 'maximum capacity' thing.

If they're uncomfortably crammed into one hide box, or what you call a "humid box", they will move. It's a good idea to have the optional hide on another end of the terrarium should a gecko get "booted" from one, that way they can go relax and feel secure elsewhere.
