Yep... I did it!
Damned if the Sacramento Reptile Expo this weekend didn't up and bite me on the rear end. No, no, NO! I was NOT going to buy another animal, no way, no how. And then, I see... her. And thus, a new addition to the family. Meet Penny, our new Bolivian BCA...
She's currently getting acclimated to her new enclosure, but we had to take a few minutes to snap a few terrible pics. She seems very good natured, and has the most beautiful purple side medallions and underside I've ever seen, not to mention her lovely silver coloration and peaked saddles. So now we're a four snake, two boa family. I guess it was just meant to be...

Thanks Melissa! Does yours have that lovely lavender side/underside as well? I was blown away at how amazing she is! I guess I'm really becoming a sucker for boas with muted, pastel-type coloration, and she really fills the bill! I saw her on day 1 of the show yesterday, walked away, thought about her all night, and caved today. Silly, silly me!
Anyway, how has yours been to keep? Any issues I should consider? How's her temperment? Thanks for any help you can provide!

Re: Yep... I did it!
here's a couple posts i've made about her in the past

No real special care. She likes it above 50% humidity, and her hot spot of 90 degrees. She's super chill and doesn't mind being handled. Voracious eater. They are slow growers and will tend to regurgitate meals if given a too large one...though my husband likes to push boundaries with her and she will eat HUGE meals, so it hasn't happened yet *lol*
She chills out most of the time, but when she's hungry and we come into the room she will come out and stare at us lol
Watch the video on them! I like them, and i'm not really a boa person (says the girl with 2 dumeril's boas, this boa, and sand boas which are my favs LOL)
