Chill out, let the snake settle in, only try to feed every fourteen days and dont handle it until it eats.

In the meantime double and triple check your husbandry to ensure that isnt the reason he isnt eating.

Your trying to feed her to soon you need to wait at least 2 weeks after getting her before feeding also no handling until she feeds a few times! Snakes can go along time without eating and be fine let her get settled then attempt feeding

Re: My rt boa is not feeding

I would get at least 2-3 feedings in before I handle a new snake. Once you know it will be a good eater then start handling. I guess my average to handle a new snake would be a month give or take a week.

Won't that make her agressive? With not being handled much?

Re: My rt boa is not feeding

Nope.. I handle most of my snakes only when I need to clean cages and they are all more than ok with being picked up once a month or less. If for some odd reason she does get an attitude once she has eaten a few times handle her more often. Normal rule is to wait 48-72 hrs to handle a snake after it has eaten.

Re: My rt boa is not feeding

My snakes get handled once a week after the settling in period.. Apart from babies as I handle every couple of days to calm them down to interaction.
