viv ideas

hi im building a viv in my garage for my boa im insulating it with 2 inch insulation on out side apart from the vents. its going to be 6ft wide 3ft deep and 4ft high does anyone no what heating i should use please. thanks

and instead of a tree for a branch can i use 2x2 with the edges sanded down??? for her to crawl around

Are you insulating the floor as well?
There is a thread here somewhere about installing a heat mat in a wooden enclosure. I personaly am loving the radiant heat panels I switched to. I use a 120 watt in a 6x2x2 boa enclosure.
I would assume if your going that size your boa is adult and although it would have no trouble climbing a 2x2 I would think a 4x4 would be much better. Or a few 2x2s together.

Thanks for advise she not that big yet she is about 5 ft and in a 4 ft by 2ft viv but just getting ideas for my garage as I like to plan it out and design it first. Lol. My wife cant wait for it to go in the garage she scared of snakes. Lol
