Toronto breeders expo was a bit of a let down :(

So I went expecting a variety of animals and although there were some deals and a few cool animals it should be renamed the Royal Python expo.
I think there were more balls there than people. Yes there were others there as well but other than a nice Diamond I saw very little that made go "hey look" to my kids. Even my 10 yr old commented he was bored looking at all the balls.
Don't get me wrong. Some of the other snakes were fantastic but I had to look through tables with 20 balls to see one carpet or a yellow anaconda.
Another thing was this. Huge building, huge crowd but the same vendors as the Kitchener expo. I drive an hour plus to go to Toronto and the Kitchener expo is a 5 min walk from my house. Seriously there were maybe 5 or 6 major vendors there I dont see in Kitchener.
We ended up buying from a guy who has his shop a few blocks from my house.
Standings Day Gecko(cb)

We got home, opened the container and the little bugger ran across my son, jumped onto me, ran up my head , jumped onto the wall and ran up onto the ceiling. Suprise!!! These things are powered by atomic energy and move at the speed of light!!

I had a great time at the CRBE yesterday. I got a chance to catch up with a bunch of friends who were vending and had a decent hotdog, even though it was $7. The show was definitely a "ballfest" though I must admit.
I got a hotdog and a headache fom the show.

It's a day gecko. What did you expect?

Be careful catching them barehanded as their skin is rather delicate and can tear quite easily. Back in my pet store working days we had to use fishnets.

On the CRBE. It was fine. I keep ball pythons and it was good to see what everyone is working with to a degree but I didn't dislike the show. I have no real complaints. Maybe it's because I don't go to other shows any longer and this is my first CRBE.

It's a lot of money to fly out this way, pay for your hotel/food/rental vehicle and then tables for two days and hope to break even.

If you want to see other vendors with more snakes available then I suggest becoming that vendor or really encourage some people to.

Aaron; you were at the show too? You should have texted me and we could have met up for a hotdog or something...

That's why I was there!
Never did find him though, despite the multiple look-outs I had working for me all afternoon.

The only thing I found at the Expo that I wanted was NFS!

Re: Toronto breeders expo was a bit of a let down :(

It's always nice to go to conventions big or small and I was kind of expecting all the ball pythons so It wasn't to disappointing but the thing that kind of ticked me off was I was expecting 'Canadian Coldblood' to have some black headed pythons or at least a Woma python but I only saw a couple of ball pythons and some lizards. But I ended up getting a woma so overall a good day.

Why are you pointing out what Brandon didn't have? Did he say he was bringing them, or did he in any way lead you to believe he would have these at the show?
