Verify my thoughts please..

I am looking into getting a few ATB's in the next 6 months or so. I want to build the viv's first and have them up and running a week or so first. I know their basic care requirements but I am wondering what size viv would you recommend for 1? I want to build vivs like the one I did for my GTP but with a different perch set up to accommodate its need/liking for multiple contact point perching.

I also see them pictured together all the time, I don't think I would even if I could but is it ok to house these guys together or is that the normal no no? Last but not least, can you share a picture of your favorite color phase with me? I am having a hard time deciding between all the gorgeous options. Money isn't really an issue at all in my decision. If I like a more expensive one I will just wait and save a bit. Thanks guys..

Re: Verify my thoughts please..

females are fine, a pair is fine, a male and two females are fine, just be ready for babies if you go with a male and female(s) (obviously). I know Hedy has them co-habitated but a buddy of mine keeps them in individual enclosures.

This is my favorite that I've seen so far.

This one is pretty hot too.

green ones are pretty rare, and IMO one of the better looking garden phase colors

There's also a leucistic floating around, head looks like an alien.

Re: Verify my thoughts please..

Amazons are one of the few snakes who do very well in small groups. I have a few contacts who regularly see them in the wild and tend to see them in groups. Just be sure that any snake is quarrantined for 90 days before introducing it to another snake. Also, feeding is difficult when you house these guys in groups, because this isn't a type of species that does well feeding in a separate enclosure. I separate mine to different areas of the enclosure and hold a poster board in between them until they finish.

The smallest size I keep one adult in is 18x18x24. The smallest I keep a pair in is 24x24x36.

A few of my favorite color phases:
I love gardens

Tri-color

Tangerine

And Christmas (not my snake)

Thanks. Those are my husband's favorites. Noodles is left and Static is right.
