Re: Hog Island Boa update
@Rogue - Thanks!
@Zach - Exactly. She's about 4 feet now... Although it's hard to get a true measurement when she always has a death-grip on my arm lol

Re: Hog Island Boa update
My hog holds on for dear life and it hurts sometimes and he is only 40 inches.
Does she have a reduced pattern?

My common boa used to do that. But I've learned with her that as long as she can wrap her tail around my arm/wrist area, she's alot calmer when I'm handling her and she doesn't hold on quite as tight. I think they just need that security.

Re: Hog Island Boa update
@Zach - I don't think she's considered a reduced pattern, but she is a bit cleaner than some others that I've seen.
@Rogue - She's getting better, slowly. But she has her tail wrapped around me no matter what lol

Is it just the size of her that makes you say that? I am just wondering as my Hog is around 4' 9" now and she is a 10.

Either you are power feeding or you have diluted bloodlines.

Re: Hog Island Boa update
I am definitely not power feeding! When you say my bloodlines are diluted what exactly do you mean? Are you suggesting my Hog is a cross?

Could you post a pic maybe?
You could probably tell if it was a cross if it had more than 25 percent normal bci in it.
Do you know the breeder?
For example my hog is a 2010 Lemke line hog from Desert Moon Reptiles that is a descendant of the original hog's that were imported.

Re: Hog Island Boa update
I could post a pic but not at the moment as I am at work. I know the breeder in the UK and the grandparents came from these guys I think Home | Stöckl - Die Nr.1 Boa constrictor Seite im Internet.
How big is you male? What do you feed him and how often? Do you have any pics? I would love to see him.
