Two rescue burms

My buddy took these in when they were confiscated from a guy in Omaha (you can't have any snakes over 8 ft, and these are roughly 9 and 10 ft). They're currently being housed in a pair of 6 ft boaphiles that I had in my garage. One of them had mites when they were confiscated (confirmed by the previous owner whom I've spoken with, they wrongfully took his boas as well and we're working on getting them back) and since they were housed together at the humane society they're both being treated.

This is Watson

This girl is in shed, she doesn't have a name yet.

Kudos for helping with those guys and girls.

I hope your friend gets his boas back at least.

Re: Two rescue burms

yeah, we're working on it, unfortunately two of them were "adopted" by a shelter worker who is also a member of the NE Herp Society who we're fairly certain knows what they are. (one is a DH snow female who just gave birth)

That snow must be under a lot of stress.

Are his boas under 8 feet?

Yes, only one is even approaching 8 ft, the other two are just under 7, and we're worried about her for that exact reason. She hasn't had a chance to eat since giving birth.

Of course, you shouldn't be so surprised.

they're gorgeous, the male is super inquisitive too, we just open the cage and he cruises out to explore.

That's what I told him, there's no chance he'll get the burms or the jamp retic back that was adopted by another member of the NE Herp Society who can have them. We're working to get the boas back but we're afraid this might have to be settled in court. He's working with a lawyer to ascertain the proper course of action.

I would rather there be NO rescue burms, but that'll never happen. As glad as I am that one of these is mine the situation greatly saddens me.
