Re: Bad Shed
Yes you spray the cage, I'd recommend doing that everytime he goes into shed. You could also soak him for aboout 15-20 in lukewarm water and that should help get the rest of that shed off.

Re: Bad Shed
Yes, you can spray the cage to raise the humidity levels. To help your snake finish shedding, you can put him inside a small, damp pillow cover for a few minutes.

I sprayed the cadge the night before I left, and once i got home after i cleaned the cadge. I just wanted to make sure that it was ok to do that.
Should i just soak him in the bathtub or something else?? I dont have any small pillow cases or id do that.

Re: Bad Shed
if any of mine have a bad shed,i just put them in the bath and peel the retained shed off
i would NOT peel retained eye caps,i would use viscotears if that ever happened
i use a lazer temperature gun,to make the water the same temperature as the snake
cheers shaun

Re: Bad Shed
I always mist my snakes as they go blue 2x a day til they shed and this works perfect for me. If any shed is left over then a nice soak in the tub finishes it off

Re: Bad Shed
If you don't have a small pillow case, after you've soaked your snake in a warm, shallow container of water, you can use a damp towel and have the snake slither through the towel as you hold it.

Yeah, that works very well, I've found! My boa is quite happy to slither through a wet facecloth to get any little bits she missed. That method has always worked well for me, but nothing beats a good misting every day or so!

That's good news! Thanks for updating us
A little more misting to keep the humidity up some more will help prevent this from happening again.

Re: Bad Shed
Yea it is. Any time I guessed you guys would wanna hear the good news haha .
Yea I kind of wish I didnt go on vacation, cuz like i said before the person waching him didnt do a good job. From what it looked like they came over once, then that was it cuz bedding was in the water bowl everything was bone dry. I was'nt happy when i found him like i did. Before I left I lightly sprayed the cadge so humidity was high so he would have a good shed but that didnt happen an i told em to spray it but they did'nt :/
