Re: Axanthic Blonde Trans Pecos rat snake
Thank you!
They actually grow into their eyes so they're a bit less buggy as adults, but still just as pretty.

Re: Axanthic Blonde Trans Pecos rat snake
They may grow into their eyes some but them, along with Gray Bands, are strictly nocturnal and both have those interesting bug eyes for this reason.
And can both be found in the same habitat......
The Blondes can only be found near Study Butte, TX. This area has very light colored sandstone, thus 'causing' this mutation.
Nice pick up....Have you read Dusty Rhoads' book on Subocs?
Very good read......plus he's a good guy too....

I have not yet read Dusty's book, but I do look forward to in the near future. I'm expecting it in the mail any day now. I did have a few subocs years ago, but they were sadly stolen from me by a "friend" who dropped off the face of the earth (along with a few other snakes). What I really look forward to getting from Dusty is a couple of his Strawberry Blondes.

What a pretty little girl! I'm still 2 years out from my double hets being breeding sized to give me some of these.
Dusty had a gorgeous lavender albino at NARBC Arlington this weekend that I wanted. Sadly it was gone when I went back to the table. Spoke to him for a bit and he was very nice.

I'd believe it! Lol. I can imagine his stuff selling quite well wherever he goes. I'm really looking forward to getting some of his strawberry blondes one day!
