Housing snakes together?
At our local pet store (ahem, the only pet store within 50 miles), they have this monstrous enclosure that holds a giant burmese, a few RTBs, a couple iguanas (one is MASSIVE), some other lizards, and some red ear sliders...is this ok, with how big the enclosure is? Everyone in there seems healthy and not stressed...I just always thought this was a pretty bad idea...(used to be two burms in there, but one got sold. this one lives there, not for sale)

Re: Housing snakes together?
housing snakes together or with other reptiles is a bad idea. As a general rule with few exceptions, snakes are basically solitary

Re: Housing snakes together?
Some snakes can be housed together and it makes a lot of sense in a pet shop. I'm not sure I would house them with Iguanas though but hey it seems to be working right?

Re: Housing snakes together?
see, that's what I thought...but the snakes haven't eaten any of the iguanas, and the burm doesn't bother any of the other things...
