New home for my BCI

For some reason I considered my BCI to be 5ft, but after measuring my "little girl" she must be closer to 6ft. It is time for a new enclosure, I suppose. Knowing that female BCIs can get up to 9ft I don't want something too small. Hopefully this should be the only larger enclosure that I need. Overall, my time is probably more limited than my financial resources. Any input on which boa enclosures worked for you and which dimensions were appropriate?

For that size I would either do 4by2by2 or a 6by2by2.

Thanks for the feedback. 4x2x2 would probably be good at the moment, following the rule length + width = length of snake. But given that she doesn't seem to be done growing, the 6ft option sounds reasonable.

Any advice on the type of enclosure. I've seen quite qa bunch on local craigslist pages, but I'm not sure if I should by used, as convenient as it would be.

For a female go with the 6 or you'll be building another later. You can shave some head room off of that if needed.

I'm fine with the space requirements, very little concern there. Just curious as to what type of enclosure worked for other BCI owners.

animal plastics is good , also boaphile and boamaster , i have my boa in a vision 48x28x28 and he is happy. the boaphiles can be expanded , so if you get a 4 foot you can add a 2 or 4 foot section later .

Build your own it's actually pretty cheap you can use melamine or hdpe.

My project list is too long as it is, so places like animal plastics or boaphiles may fit the bill. I think I may go for a 6-footer straight away. I don't think I'd want to mess with it again.

6x3x3 is what I'll be moving my male bci into next, just over 5ft and he only 2yrs old, that'll do him for life. I'd push for the 3ft depth if you can because they are very thick bodied and you don't want them cramped when they are at 1 end of the tank.

Thanks for the responses. I'm also looking into a local cae builder. After a little bit of research many used cages online seemed a bit sketchy.
