snake food
Well I know I like to eat a lot of different things but my boa at 28 inches only gets mice. what are some other options I could give him? I want to stay away from food that has feathers do to the fact that I keep parrots. Or should I leave a good thing alone and only feed him frozen mice till he can take down rats? Lastly dose anyone use any sort of vitamin suplliments or is it totaly not needed?

Re: snake food
No need for vitamin supplements they get all their nutrition from rodents. No need to change food from rats to anything else.

Re: snake food
He can take rats now.. I would switch him asap. The longer you keep him on mice the harder it is going to be later on to change him over to rats.
No vitamin supplements are needed at all just feed every 10-14 days an appropriate size meal.

I dunno, every boa I've ever met might as well have been a pig.

So are birds. Most boas can and will eat anything. I don't find boas need that stable diet like a royal does.
