Hello!
Hi all.
I have 3 ball pythons, a MBK and I just got a redtail boa.
The boa is around 2' long and about a year old. Info is sketchy because I got her from someone who only had her for a couple of months. He said he got her from a friend who had her from birth. Anyhow, she's a real sweetheart, eats well, likes being handled, shed (not quite in one piece) a couple of weeks ago and is settling in just fine.
The pythons are fat and lazy and all about to shed so a tad grumpy. They have lived together since I got them, (2 1/2 years for 2 of them and we added the other a little over a year ago) and cohabitate very well. I've heard this isn't a good idea and I'd be interested in your opinions. They live in a converted gun rack with 3 "stories" but usually all hang out together under the biggest hide. As of this time they have not been sexed but that will be happening by the end of summer.
The MBK was my first and was the size of a shoelace. He's now nearly four feet. Definitely less laid back than the others, but he's good about being handled. He did bite me a couple of weeks ago; it was odd, he didn't strike, just casually opened his mouth and bit my arm. I yelped and yanked my arm away and he didn't seem agitated or scared. Just continued crawling around on me.
I always have questions, but none pressing right now. Just wanted to say hello and maybe see if anyone here has experience with boas. Since I've only had her about a month I'm not as familiar with her.
Thanks so much, and looking forward to sharing pictures and stories.

Re: Hello!
The general opinion you will get is to separate them as soon as possible. Without even knowing what sex they are you are asking for trouble, if there is one female the males will fight over her and that could be the least of your issues.
