Is this Mites??
As you can see under the head has no mites that i can see at least but we found one scale that seems to be a different color then the rest in the group of black ones its by. Its not bulging out or anything...
am i just paranoid?
Thanks for any help!
3rd pic down you can see the discolored scale the best!

No mites. BP have black specks on them.
If the specks are crawling around moving, then it's cause for concern.

No mites. Mites start out the size of a grain of sand but once they get on your snake they swell right up and get big enough to see with no doubts at all. If your snake gets mites you will know for sure.

You will know mites when you see them, there is no mistaking it. The first time I ever saw them, before I even really knew anything about snakes or keeping them, I knew what they were. Also no need for paranoia, while mites are a general pain in the butt, that's really about all they are to even a half decent snake keeper. Almost all of us have battled them at one time or another, but as long as it doesn't go ignored they can't do much harm to your snake above irritating the snot of it.

This is the Sunglow I loaned out and this is what he came back with easy to see BC he is yellow but you can imagen how hard they would be to see on any other snake a good way to test for mites is to soak them in a tub water/drop of dish soap it'll drown themie and you will see them floating in the water

Ah, poor thing! I only had to deal with mites once, but I always check the water bowl. If there is only a single mite, you know you're in trouble.

This is why I'm nervous to do a breeding loan. One snake can come back with it, then it's all over your entire collection...

That depends on how you house your snakes. Yes if you are using a rack but not necessarily if you are using separate cages. This is why I'm a fan of mite prevention though. Just like you should be running virus scans on your computer every so often, it doesn't hurt to give your collection a quick douse with a mite-fighter of your choice.
I've also found that the "Bird Protectors" work wonders as far as prevention goes

On the second and third pictures, it looks like there's stuck shed or something on the snake's tail...?
