Re: rad tailed racer

thanks for the kind words folks...

Uwambi, yea she isnt really a biter at all. She will huff and puff but has only tagged me once. she is like lightening tho, this is the 1st time she actuallt sat still for any length of time.

Oh and a wee word of warning for these guys. I have had my 1st experience of the dreaded mites and im not sure what the common practice is accross the pond but i used a spray called callingtons in all my vivs. All snakes where fine bar this little one.

She had a very bad reaction to it and i thought i was going to loose her at one point. She was sick a clear liquid and fitting around a day after being exposed but thank god she has made a recovery but was very hard to watch for a while.

This wee video will give you an idea but this is tame compared to how violently she was thrashing about...

Re: rad tailed racer

My guys don't like to be held at all. They fight any kind of handling the whole time and they aren't scared to bite. Fun little critters they are.

Re: rad tailed racer

hehe yea to be honest i was expecting the same from mine after what i had read about them but seems to be the case with most thing i have worked with in reality they aren't as bad as most folk make out though there are some exceptions...
