best place to buy a ball python

we have been looking to get a new ball python. we got one at petsmart but had to return her because she wasn't doing good and was losing coordination and not eating. we found one place we think would be good to buy one at but we would like to keep looking around. we live near Knoxville Tennessee, so if anyone knows where would be a good place to get one in the east Tennessee area we would greatly appreciate it. we are looking for a baby female. hope someone can help us!! thanks

If you don't know of any breeders and you want to look around at what different people have to offer you could go to an expo. Just be careful if you purchase anything at one. It is very easy to bring home reptile mites or a sick animal. You could also just go to the expo in order to meet a few breeders and decide who you wish to do business with. Helen, if its still there, there's a little herp and fish shop called Fins and Skins (I think) in Knoxville. I've been to it before (while I was in college near Chattanooga).

Don't know if the guy still sells herps in the shop (this was 6-7 yrs ago), but he might point you in the direction of who does.

you could also look in your local animal rescue shelter or see if there are reptile rescues in your area.

everytime a question like this comes up, i have to reccomed Brian Barchezk(sp) from Snake bytes tv. he from Michigan and (to me) seems like a awesome person!
